  • 2002 Co-Presenter at Kentucky World Language Conference - Growing German Programs Across the State: Advocacy and Articulation
  • KCTFL (Recipient of Best Presentation in 1997)
 
  • AATG (Chaperone of the study-trip recipients in 1995; four winners of the study-trip award to Germany; recipient of the Duden Award (Kentucky's German Teacher of the Year in 1995 and 2006)
 
 
  • Who's Who Among America's Teachers (3 times)
 
  • 7 students have been prize winners of a three-week study trip  to Nuremberg, Germany based on placing above the 90th percentile on the National German exam an successfully completed an interview in German with a panel that consists mainly of professors of German.

 
  • 1 German Honor Society student won the Kaethe Wilson Scholarship to study three weeks in Kiel, Germany.  Student was selected after writing an essay of 5 or more pages in German and successfully completed an interview in German.  Only one prize given in the nation.  
  • 1 student was awarded the Endowment Scholarship from the American Association of Teachers of German to study three weeks in Berlin, German.
 
  • 2004 Featured in a publication for the German Embassy in Berlin, Germany after hosting a teacher from former East Germany.
 
  •  1995, 2006  Duden Award - Kentucky’s German Teacher of the Year
